With madness ruling our world thanks to mixture of finance, big-tech, politics and social media, there must be written more poetry, and there must be created more art.

Incomprehensible (Animal) Rythm

Dogs dance and fight and bite / cats or humans and the occasional sheep /

(not their bosses).

And teeth shine / a glance that guards distance.

Is there a second chance?

Will there be room for improvement, or have all options be exploited to great depth, leaving just a void.

Let us look at mixed-media painting “Room with a view”, conceived and created in 2019.

In subsequent years, doubt gradually did arise, and early July 2024 this work was completely painted over with white gesso, and then created anew. The structure (cut-out in carton) remained, but colored differently. Minor elements were added as collage material.

The text made vague by superposition of thin paper, came from book by Florence Montgomery – Misunderstood (1910)

Swift and silent / grades / of an approach / unwanted but inevitable.

Once steps were / made from / one position / the other ones followed / without thinking / ahead.

Voorwaarden aan de basis / (verklaren) / de val als een verbinding / tussen de aarde en / daarboven.

Snelle en stille / stappen in een / benadering, ongewenst / maar onafwendbaar.

Toen treden waren / genomen van één positie / volgden de andere zonder / vooruit te denken.
